Keep your reading list focused on what's current, without ever losing the links you've collected. The Archive is a separate, out-of-the-way place for links you're done with (or haven't touched in a while), and Auto-archive does the tidying for you on a schedule you choose.

Every link you save lives in your main library until you archive it. Archiving a link:

• Removes it from your main lists (Unsorted, collections, search results in the default view) so your day-to-day view stays clean.
• Keeps the link, its reader content, highlights, and tags fully intact - nothing is deleted. Archiving is reversible.
• Moves it into the dedicated "Archived" view, reachable from your Library.

Single link

1. Swipe on a link, or open its action menu (•••).
2. Tap Archive.
3. A confirmation appears ("Link archived"). The link disappears from the current list.

Multiple links at once (bulk archive)

1. Enter selection mode in any link list.
2. Tap the links you want.
3. Tap Archive in the toolbar. All selected links are archived in one go.

Open the Library tab. If you have any archived links, an Archived row appears (tucked below your collections, with a count badge). Tap it to browse everything you've archived, newest-archived first.

If you have zero archived links, the row stays hidden so it never clutters your Library.

Auto-archive automatically moves old links into your archive so your main list only ever shows links from your recent activity window. You set one rule: "archive anything older than N days."

1. Go to Settings → Archive.
2. Toggle Auto-archive old links on.
3. Choose an age threshold - After 30 / 60 / 90 days.

That's it. A link's age is measured from when you saved it. Once a link crosses your chosen threshold, it's archived automatically - you don't have to open the app for it to happen (see "How it runs" below).

Links you've already archived by hand are left alone, and auto-archive never touches a link twice.

By default, archived links are kept forever. If you'd rather your archive not grow without limit, you can have Linkwise permanently delete links a set time after they were archived.

1. In Settings → Archive, find Delete archived links.
2. Choose:
• Never (default - nothing is ever auto-deleted)
• After 10 days
• After 20 days
• After 30 days

The countdown starts from the moment a link is archived (whether you archived it or auto-archive did).

You can combine them for a fully hands-off flow. For example:

• Auto-archive: After 30 days + Delete archived links: After 30 days → A saved link stays in your main list for 30 days, then sits in the Archive for another 30 days as a grace period, then is permanently removed at day 60 if you never revisited it.

• It's automatic and server-side. A background job runs once a day and applies your settings across your whole account. You do not need to open the app, and it works even while your phone is off.
• Your settings sync to your account. Because the rule lives on the server, it applies consistently no matter which device you use.
• Age basis:
• Auto-archive counts from when the link was saved.
• Auto-purge counts from when the link was archived.
Order of operations each day: first, eligible old links are archived; then, archived links past your retention window are purged.

Does archiving delete my highlights or notes? No. Everything attached to the link is preserved. Un-archive it and it's exactly as you left it.

If I turn auto-archive off, do my archived links come back? No - turning it off only stops future automatic archiving. Links already in the Archive stay there until you un-archive them manually. Turning it off does not un-archive anything.

Will auto-archive re-archive a link I just un-archived? If that link is still older than your threshold, yes - the next daily sweep will archive it again, because it only looks at the save date. To keep an old link in your main list permanently, the cleanest option is to keep the threshold higher, or not rely on auto-archive for links you want to keep active.

Can I get a purged link back? No. Auto-purge is permanent by design. Keep Delete archived links set to Never if you want a safety net.

How soon does auto-archive act after I cross the threshold? Within a day - the sweep runs daily.
