2.1 Information You Provide

Because Linkwise requires account creation, we collect the following information when you register:

This information is used solely to authenticate you, manage your account, and provide the service.

2.2 Payment Information

Linkwise offers in-app purchases processed through Apple Pay and the Apple App Store. We do not collect, store, or process your payment card details or financial data directly. All payment information is handled entirely by Apple. We may receive limited non-financial transaction data from Apple (such as purchase confirmation and subscription status) solely to activate or manage your paid features.

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

When you use Linkwise, we may automatically collect limited technical data, including:

• Browser type and version
• Device type and operating system
• IP address (used temporarily for security and fraud prevention)
• General usage data (e.g., pages visited, time spent — aggregated and anonymized)

This data is collected solely for the purposes of operating, maintaining, and improving the service. It is not used to identify you personally.

2.4 Link Data

The links and collections you save within Linkwise are stored to power the service's functionality. This content belongs to you and is processed only as necessary to provide the service (e.g., enabling AI chat features).

3. How We Use Your Information

Any information we collect is used exclusively to:

4. Third-Party Services

Linkwise may integrate with or rely on third-party services to operate, including:

• AI providers — to power the AI chat feature
• Apple Pay & App Store — to process in-app purchases and manage subscriptions; Apple's Privacy Policy governs all payment data

• Hosting and infrastructure providers — to store and serve the application
• Analytics tools — to collect aggregated usage data

These third-party providers are contractually required to process data only as instructed by us and in compliance with applicable privacy laws. We do not share personally identifiable information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy:

• Technical/log data — typically retained for 30–90 days for security and debugging purposes
• Support communications — retained for up to 12 months after resolution

When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

6.3 Rights for US Users

Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws (e.g., CCPA for California residents), including the right to know what data is collected, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Linkwise is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately at support@linkwise.app and we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

For users between 13 and 18, parental or guardian consent is required for use of the service.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you of any breach that affects your personal data as required by applicable law.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. When transferring data from the EU/EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) to maintain the level of data protection required by GDPR.
